Who is JD Webb?

My name is J. D. Webb, I am a lifelong resident of Decatur, Illinois. 

I served in the Air Force in Vietnam and the Philippines as a Chinese linguist prior to working for twenty-five years as a transportation manager at a Fortune 500 company. When I was no longer needed, I then owned a shoe repair and sales shop for eleven years, until that business succumbed to the economy. 

I've been writing since I could hold a pencil. For most of my 75+ years, I wrote short stories, having a few published in magazines before most of them went the way of the dinosaurs. 

When I 'retired' in 2002, my wife urged me to write a novel. I didn't know if I could, but, my only goal as an author was to FINISH a novel. 

I'm blessed to have five of my novels published with a sixth being released on September 18, 2023. 

A true joy is having someone say, they couldn’t put down something I've written until they finished the book. 

Unless my words are read, they languish astride the page.

 The ultimate goal is to intrigue and entertain readers.
